Job summary

Aldridge Electric is seeking an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and implement learning solutions that close performance gaps in project management, safety, and leadership. This on-site role in Des Plaines offers potential hybrid work after 90 days to ensure proper training.

You will collaborate with internal clients, SMEs and leaders to translate business objectives into effective learning programs, across instructor-led, virtual, self-paced and video formats.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Instructional Design, Learning Technology, Education or another related field.
• 3 years of experience developing learning for instructor Led, virtual instructor led, self-paced eLearning and video formats.
• Knowledge of adult learning styles and instructional design.
• Intermediate experience with eLearning authoring tools (Articulate 360, Rise, Lectora, iSpring, or similar) and graphic/visual design tools (Canva, Camtasia, etc).
• Graphic design aptitude.
• Experience partnering with leaders to translate business objectives into learning solutions.
• Experience with learning management systems (LMS).
• Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines while delivering high quality work.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality programs and materials aligned with company goals.
• Manage end-to-end learning experiences including needs assessment, strategies, activities, and assessments.
• Develop programs on topics like Project Management, Crew leader skills, safety, Agile tools, and leadership.
• Collaborate with internal clients and SMEs to identify training needs.
• Coordinate implementation strategies for each learning solution.
