Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a senior Instructional Designer to develop and deliver corporate training programs and online courses. The role emphasizes instructional design, visual design, and writing for instruction, with engagement across live and virtual sessions.

The ideal candidate holds a doctorate in Instructional Design or related field, demonstrates expertise in multimedia production, and collaborates with faculty and staff in a fast-paced university environment in Florida.

Qualifications

Must be resident in the state of Florida.
Minimum of four (4) years related and verifiable work experience in instructional design for corporate training environments and electronic media asset creation, with a focus on visual design and writing for instruction.
Doctorate degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development or Higher Education required, or a related terminal degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in an appropriate combination of Education, Instructional Design, Communication Design, and Training and Development
Association for Talent Development certification or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance preferred
Well-versed in graphic design, writing, and instructional design theories and practice
Professional experience creating interactive media, podcasts, instructional video, and educational games preferred
Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including proofreading and editing for grammar and punctuation
Detail oriented
Ability to multitask while working independently and collaboratively with teachers and university staff
Ability to interact professionally and constructively with students and staff at all levels in an immersive, fast-paced environment
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Keynote/PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe Creative Cloud applications
Experience designing and presenting live and virtual training sessions

Responsibilities

Stay current with relevant industry standards
Utilize varied teaching strategies and encourage active learning
Perform lectures for campus courses and hold scheduled virtual course meetings for online courses
Teach through on-campus and online delivery
Interact positively with diverse student populations and provide equal learning opportunities
Maintain industry knowledge and skill relevancy through continuing education as defined in the faculty development plan
Adhere to Full Sail University policies and procedures
Maintain strict confidentiality of student and company information
Demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission and values
Adhere to company attendance standards
Perform other duties as assigned
