Job summary

CDW is seeking an Instructional Designer to partner with Learning & Development leaders, senior designers and subject matter experts to design, develop and deliver enablement that supports CDW strategies and business goals.

This role applies instructional design best practices and modern learning technologies, including generative AI, across a range of modalities, and helps coordinate assigned programs from needs analysis through launch and evaluation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years work experience as an Instructional Designer.
• Hands-on experience with an instructional design project from needs analysis through implementation.
• Familiarity with adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).
• Experience with generative AI tools in a business setting, applied to instructional design.

Responsibilities

• Partner with stakeholders and SMEs to assess needs and translate requirements into learning objectives.
• Design and develop content across modalities including ILT, virtual, eLearning, video and microlearning.
• Create learning content using key tools and platforms.
• Develop customer-facing support materials and ensure collaboration with SMEs and stakeholders.
• Coordinate programs with project plans, timelines, and trainer materials.
• Use generative AI responsibly to accelerate design while ensuring accuracy and compliance with CDW standards.
• Build accessible learning that meets accessibility standards and brand guidelines.
• Develop assessments and measure program effectiveness using learner data.
