Job summary

Job description

We’re seeking an experienced Instructional Designer to create engaging, high-quality learning solutions that improve performance and support learning in the flow of work. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys transforming complex subject matter into clear, accessible, and interactive eLearning experiences using modern design tools and thoughtful instructional strategies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and update learning materials using approved templates, tools, and standards
• Translate business needs, SME input, and source content into structured learning experiences that address performance gaps
• Create a variety of learning assets, including eLearning modules, job aids, practice activities, and supporting materials
• Apply adult learning principles, accessibility standards, and inclusive design practices across deliverables
• Partner with learning stakeholders to define scope, clarify requirements, and align solutions to business needs
• Participate in reviews and quality checks to ensure learning assets are accurate, polished, and ready for launch
• Maintain organized files, version history, documentation, and tracking within approved systems
• Identify gaps and improvement opportunities and use feedback to strengthen learning effectiveness
• Use authoring tools and approved AI-enabled technologies to improve development speed, consistency, and quality
• Support ongoing updates and maintenance across a large portfolio of learning courses
• Contribute ideas, insights, and best practices that help strengthen team capability and consistency

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or a related content creation field
• Strong experience designing and building eLearning solutions, especially systems- and process-based training
• Hands-on proficiency with Articulate Storyline and Rise
• Ability to turn complex information into clear, engaging, and accessible learning content
• Solid understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methods
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through
• Comfort working with SMEs and stakeholders in a collaborative environment
• Ability to review feedback and apply insights to improve learning outcomes
• Knowledge of accessibility and inclusive design practices
• Strong written communication and professionalism
• Ability to provide a work sample in Rise or Storyline

Preferred Skills

• Experience using AI tools to support course development and content tagging
• Experience with Vyond and Camtasia
• Experience creating eLearning that includes embedded video and interactive elements
• Background supporting a large portfolio of courses and ongoing content maintenance
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
