Title:

Instructional Designer

Location:

100% Remote in Eastern Time Zone

Duration:

2 months + contract

Compensation:

$35-$40/hr

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the development of training content.

• Applies best practices and principles of curriculum development, with an understanding of adult learning theories and pedagogy. Demonstrates ability to apply these theories to create training materials.
• Provides technical expertise, evaluates content, and makes recommendations on incorporating all facets of training content. Reviews and approves documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance, completeness, and risk mitigation.
• Defines instructional end goals and creates content that aligns with them. Designs instructional graphics, user interfaces, and final products.
• Works as part of a project team to support the implementation and enhancement of user interfaces, manages documentation, workflows, and change control processes across the company.
• Interfaces with multiple functional groups and subject matter experts to ensure curriculum content and methods meet legal, regulatory, and corporate objectives.
• Partners in developing and implementing classroom, web-based, and other media training content.
• Provides exercises and activities to enhance learning, and creates supporting materials/media such as audio, video, simulations, role-plays, and games.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Extensive experience with Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), video and audio recording/editing, creating digital training simulations, and storyboarding.
• Strong knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models.
• Proven experience in instructional design and instructional technology.
• Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, and scripts for audio/video.
• Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills to collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders.
