Job summary

John Adams Elementary School in Alexandria, VA seeks an Instructional Coach for School Improvement to lead data-driven school improvement efforts. The role focuses on CSIP coordination, data analysis, and staff support to enhance instruction and student outcomes.

Responsibilities include testing coordination, professional learning, MTSS facilitation, and AVID implementation to foster a college- and career-ready culture. This is a 10-month licensed position reporting to the principal.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Valid Virginia teaching license with Elementary Education endorsement.
• Minimum 5 years of teaching or school leadership experience.
• Experience using data to drive instruction and improve outcomes.
• Experience leading schools out of federal accountability status and with Title I/School Improvement Grants.
• Knowledge of MTSS, AVID, and data platforms; strong Excel/Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the CSIP process and coordinate school improvement efforts.
• Analyze student and staff data to inform instruction and interventions.
• Serve as testing coordinator and manage testing protocols.
• Provide staff training on formative/summative assessments and data use.
• Lead professional learning and coordinate MTSS Tier 2/3 supports.
• Support AVID implementation and college/career readiness culture.
• Collaborate with Title I/Curriculum and coordinate site-based PD.
