Job summary

Amber Charter Schools seeks an Instructional Coach to lead professional development, design and facilitate growth-focused programs, and guide instructional improvement. You will champion our values, collaborate with staff, and lead evidence-based initiatives that translate into classroom success.

You will coach teachers, analyze data, and support multilingual learners and students with IEPs, ensuring curriculum fidelity and high-quality instruction across grades.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in education or a related field.
• 3 years of high-impact classroom teaching experience.
• 1 year of instructional coaching or consulting experience.
• Deep understanding of NYS learning standards for elementary grades.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Visit classrooms regularly and coach teachers with timely, actionable feedback.
• Guide educators in crafting standards-aligned lessons that spark deep learning.
• Analyze student work with teachers to adjust instruction and deepen impact.
• Support differentiation and inclusive practices to reach every learner.
• Review and analyze formative and summative assessment data and evidence at the student, class, grade and school levels to inform instructional and professional development plans.
