Job summary

Covenant Academy of Mobile is seeking an Instructional Coach to work directly with teachers to improve instruction and student achievement in Mobile, AL. The role requires a valid Alabama professional certificate and at least five years of teaching experience.

The coach will model literacy and core academic practices, provide classroom coaching, and support Tier 1 instruction while leading professional learning and data-driven feedback with staff.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Alabama professional certificate in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Special Education.
• Minimum of five years of successful teaching experience in EC, Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education.
• Demonstrate expertise in instructional strategies, intervention, and data-driven instruction.
• Master’s degree or completion of state-recommended professional development frameworks in curriculum and instruction.

Responsibilities

• Assist the principal in advocating, facilitating, and monitoring instructional strategies that improve student achievement across all demographics.
• Develop and implement instructional strategies that support differentiated instruction for remedial, average, and advanced students.
• Provide strategic classroom coaching, modeling, co-teaching, and follow-up to build literacy capacity.
• Support Tier 1 core instruction to prevent students from falling behind.
• Lead schoolwide professional learning and job-embedded assistance such as modeling lessons and data-driven observations.
• Analyze formative benchmarks and student work to identify misconceptions and guide instructional decisions.
• Coordinate family and community engagement opportunities for student learning.
• Participate in district/regional site visits and professional development to meet goals.
