Job summary

Shelby County Schools is seeking an Instructional Curriculum Coach to provide leadership for Literacy, Math, or Science programs. The role guides teachers in embedding instructional strategies, analyzes data related to student mastery, and coordinates interventions to support students.

The coach will lead professional development, collaborate with school leadership, and guide curriculum implementation to improve outcomes. Requires a Master’s degree and state licensure.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Education, Curriculum and Instruction or related field.
• Endorsement in the content area related to assignment.
• Four (4) years of classroom experience in the assignment area.
• Valid Tennessee teacher licensure certification.

Responsibilities

• Supports teachers through conferences, observations, feedback, and analysis of student results.
• Shares effective instructional strategies with teachers in-service and through workshops.
• Assists teachers and administrators in meeting instructional goals and maintains communication.
• Collaborates with teachers to build core content knowledge and teaching skills.
• Analyzes state/district assessment data to target professional development needs.
• Organizes and facilitates teams to develop long-term literacy, math, or science plans.
