Job summary

City Year Chicago seeks an Instructional Coach to support academic strategy and improve math and literacy outcomes across school placements. You will observe, coach, and train AmeriCorps members and staff to implement the City Year model with fidelity and equity. The role is primarily on-site at designated schools with some office days, reporting to the Senior Service Director.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; strong results.
• Deep knowledge of instructional strategy and interventions for students not performing on grade level.
• Experience presenting and facilitating training for adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Observe AmeriCorps members at least once a month and debrief with the team.
• Develop and deliver staff instructional training and resources.
• Collaborate with site leadership to ensure consistent instructional practices.
• Promote anti-racist, equitable and inclusive instruction for all students.
• Participate in site and network meetings to share insights and problem solve.
