Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools seeks an experienced Instructional Coach to support teachers through guidance, training, and resources. The role focuses on applying research-based strategies to engage students and improve learning outcomes in K–12 settings.

The coach will develop and arrange professional development for staff, facilitate PLCs, and collaborate with school leaders to implement curriculum frameworks and standards alignment.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching experience with gap closure demonstrated
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Experience presenting to and coaching adult teachers
• Knowledge of adult learning theory
• Ability to motivate adult learners to improve professional practices
• Initiative to develop systems and structures to improve teacher practices
• Strong content knowledge and pedagogy in relevant disciplines
• Familiarity with GLOE & Curriculum Frameworks, Common Core, and ACT College Readiness Standards
• Excellent written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Facilitate understanding and implementation of standards and college readiness benchmarks
• Lead school-wide PLCs and curricular framework trainings
• Create learning plans aligned to academic goals
• Coache teachers using modeling, co-planning, and side-by-side coaching
• Analyze teacher practice via observations and data
• Provide clear feedback to teachers based on data and practice
• Collaborate with principals and deans to set academic goals
• Support and co-present at educator conferences and meetings
• Attend monthly coaching meetings
• Report to school principal
