Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools is seeking an experienced Instructional Coach to work with teachers across a school or district, focusing on research-based strategies to improve learning outcomes.

The role requires providing and coordinating professional development, guiding teachers through Common Core alignment, ACT readiness standards, and curriculum frameworks while maintaining strong communication with school leaders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching experience in Levels 4-5.
• Ability to manage several projects and meet deadlines.
• Experience presenting and working with adult teachers.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Ability to motivate adult learners to improve professional practices.
• Develop systems to improve teacher practices within your school.
• Strong content knowledge and teaching pedagogy; understanding of standards (GLOE, CCSS, ACT).
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher’s understanding and implementation of standards by developing and executing school-wide PLCs.
• Facilitate curriculum framework implementation through training and observational feedback.
• Create learning plans for teams aligned to school academic goals.
• Support teachers’ AMO and personal goals using coaching strategies that gradually release responsibility.
• Provide feedback to teachers based on practice and data.
• Collaborate with principals to set and monitor academic goals.
• Present during New Teacher Seminar & Educator’s Conference.
