Job summary

Gestalt Community Schools (Power Center) in Tennessee is seeking an Instructional Coach for high school to support teachers with evidence-based practices and professional development. You will work with individuals and small groups to improve instructional practices.

The role requires advanced knowledge of standards (CCSS, ACT), strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple coaching initiatives, model teaching, observe classrooms, provide feedback, and collaborate with building

Qualifications

• 4+ years of teaching experience at secondary levels 4–5 with gap closure.
• Experience delivering professional development to adult teachers.
• Knowledge of adult learning theory.
• Strong content knowledge and pedagogy.
• Working knowledge of GLOE, CCSS, State Standards, and ACT readiness standards.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate teacher understanding and implementation of standards through PLCs.
• Coordinate and deliver school-wide professional development activities.
• Create learning plans aligned to school academic goals.
• Observe and analyze teacher practice using data and feedback.
• Collaborate with principals and deans to set academic goals.
• Present during New Teacher Seminar and Educator Conferences.
