Job summary

Zion Elementary School District 6 is seeking a Classroom Systems Coach for grades K-8 to support teachers in implementing district initiatives, CCSS, and data-driven practices. This role focuses on coaching, co-planning, and modeling effective instructional strategies within the Teaching & Learning Department.

The coach partners with staff to design routines, provide feedback, and foster a collaborative, student-centered learning environment across all schools.

Qualifications

• Illinois Professional Educator License required.
• Four years of classroom teaching with excellent recent evaluations.
• Endorsements in Mathematics, Middle School, Elementary Education or related coaching areas.
• Strong data-driven instruction knowledge.
• Foundational grasp of district/state standards and best practices.
• Actively engages in professional reading and shares ideas with staff.

Responsibilities

• Model and promote high-quality instruction through coaching.
• Co-plan, co-teach, and provide feedback to teachers.
• Lead data-informed instructional cycles and reflections.
• Support in planning staff professional learning.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement among staff.
