Role Description

The Instructional Coach is a full-time, on-site role located in San Antonio, TX, supporting educators in improving instructional practices and student outcomes. This role involves collaborating with teachers and campus leaders to design, model, and co-teach standards-based lessons aligned with district curriculum and goals. The Instructional Coach provides regular classroom observations, feedback, and coaching cycles, and facilitates data-driven conversations to refine instructional strategies. Daily responsibilities include planning and delivering professional development sessions, supporting implementation of district initiatives, and sharing best practices across grade levels and content areas. The role also requires maintaining accurate documentation of coaching activities, working closely with administrators to identify campus needs, and contributing to a positive, inclusive, and student-centered school culture.


Qualifications


  • Ability to design and refine standards-aligned Curriculum Development and instructional materials that meet diverse learner needs.

  • Demonstrated Coaching skills, including conducting classroom observations, providing actionable feedback, and facilitating ongoing coaching cycles.

  • Experience in Educational Leadership, collaborating with campus administration and teacher teams to implement instructional initiatives.

  • Background in Staff Development, including planning and delivering effective professional learning for educators.

  • Strong foundation in Education, with knowledge of current pedagogy, assessment practices, and culturally responsive teaching.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field required; advanced degree in curriculum, instruction, or educational leadership preferred.

  • Valid Texas teaching certification and successful classroom teaching experience, preferably in an urban or diverse school setting.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build trust and work effectively with educators and leaders.

  • Proficiency in using student data and instructional technology to support planning, coaching, and professional development.
