Job summary

Paramount Schools of Excellence is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support classroom instruction and assist with curriculum implementation. You will work under the Classroom Teacher/Principal, helping with student assessment, data collection, and behavioral management while ensuring compliance with IEPs, 504 plans, and FERPA/FAPE regulations.

Experience in educational settings preferred; commitment to PSOE mission.
Annual training and/or professional development is required for all PSOE employees.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to collaborate across teams and with families.

Responsibilities

Provides direct instruction and assessment in small group and individual settings.
Provides substitute support as needed.
Uses data-driven instruction and PSOE frameworks to deliver standards-driven instruction.
Completes assessments, grading, planning, and conferences within timelines.
Ensures compliance with IEPs, 504 plans, FERPA, and related regulations.
Maintains professional communication with classroom teachers and administrators.
Contributes to school committees and participates in school operations initiatives.
