Texas A&M International University (TAMIU) invites applications for an Instructional Assistant Professor of Special Education (2 positions) to begin Fall 2027. The role is non-tenure track with a three-year appointment, teaching 15 credits per semester across face-to-face and online modalities and mentoring students.

The candidate should hold a doctorate in Special Education or related field (ABD considered) and have a valid teaching license or eligibility, with ability to teach in

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Special Education or closely related field is required or ABD with completion before appointment.
• Current Special Education teaching license or certification, or eligibility for one, is required.
• Experience teaching Pre K-12 in special education and ability to teach both in-person undergraduate and online graduate courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach 15 semester credit hours per semester across modalities (face-to-face and online).
• Mentor students and serve on department, college, university, and professional committees.
