Job summary

Norwell Community Schools seeks an Instructional Assistant for Lancaster Central Elementary School. The role supports classroom teachers by guiding students, reinforcing lessons, and preparing learning aids.

Responsibilities include assisting with lunch supervision, supervising during drills and field trips, and maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards of a licensed teacher. Monday–Friday, 32.5–37.5 hours per week. Pay starts at $16.50/hour.

Qualifications

• Some college or equivalent required.
• One to two years related experience and/or training preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Guides independent study, enrichment, and remedial work.
• Checks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises tests and makeup work.
