Job summary

Norwell Community Schools is seeking an Instructional Assistant at Norwell Middle School to support teaching staff by reinforcing concepts, guiding student activities, and preparing teaching aids.

Qualifications

• Some college training or 1–2 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret documents; ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and employees of the school corporation.

Responsibilities

• Works with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Guides independent study, enrichment and remedial work as assigned by the teacher.
• Checks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and makeup work.
