Lake Washington School District in Redmond is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support teaching staff and maintain an orderly learning environment at Redmond Elementary School. This SEIU transfer position may involve classroom, lunchroom, library, and after-school programs, or office duties.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
• Must pass criminal background check

Description: 183 day working calendar Hours Per Day: 6.0 Shift: TBD at this time. Shift subject to change. Location: Redmond Elementary (located within the Redmond Learning Community)

This position is posted in accordance with the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9 The position will be posted internally and externally for five (5) workdays. The internal posting will close on Friday, October 2nd, 2026. Interested employees must submit an Internal Application. To be eligible for transfer, employees must meet the posted qualifications and have been in their current position for at least six (6) months. Qualified applicants will be contacted directly.
