Job summary

Lake Washington School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant at Juanita High School to support teaching staff and maintain a positive learning environment. The 183-day calendar offers a 6.5-hour day with duties across classroom, lunchroom, library, and after-school programs.

The ideal candidate will meet education requirements (high school diploma or AA or 72 college credits or ParaPro/Pearson) and pass a background check.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• AA degree or 72 college quarter credits or equivalent.
• ParaPro Assessment with score 455+ or Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment 220+.
• Official documentation required upon hire.

Responsibilities

Description: 183 day working calendar Hours Per Day: 6.5 hours Shift: TBD at this time. Shift subject to change. Location: Juanita High School (within the Juanita Learning Community) Employees International Union (SEIU) Collective Bargaining Agreement transfer process outlined in Section 15.9. During the peak hiring months of August and September, vacancies will be posted to internal and external candidates. The internal posting will close on 9/23/2026. Interested employees must submit an Internal Application. To be eligible for transfer, employees must meet the posted qualifications and have been in their current position for at least six (6) months. Qualified applicants will be contacted directly. Education and Experience Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher, OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
