Pathways to becoming a special education teacher are available through a partnership with Point Park University for the ABCTE program. This position is part of the PSERS retirement system.

• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post‑secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Must be able to use own transportation to travel to job sites.

Hourly Rate: $20.50 / hour. Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Days/Year: 185.
