Job summary

Spring-Ford Area School District’s Freshman Center seeks an Instructional Assistant/Paraprofessional to support students with remedial work, independent studies, and enrichment activities in an Emotional Support setting.

This full-time, 10-month position runs 8:30 AM–4:00 PM, 185 days per year, with a starting date as soon as possible. The role offers stability, benefits, and a clear pathway for growth in special education.

Qualifications

• Must meet Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: Associate degree or 48 credits or pass local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Experience with students with special needs preferred but not required.
• Clearances and health tests required prior to employment.

Spring-Ford Area School District Welcome Video! Full Time 10-month position available at Spring-Ford's Freshman Center. This position will be in Emotional Support.

• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
