Job summary

Spring-Ford Area School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Spring City Elementary School. The role focuses on supporting instruction, providing remedial help, and assisting students with enrichment activities in an autistic support setting.

The position is full-time for 10 months, with hours from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM and a 185-day schedule. Paraprofessional requirements include an associate degree or 48 credits or passage of a local assessment, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: - Associate's degree or higher, or 48 credits post-secondary, or passed local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Experience with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Position is in Autistic Support and requires working with students under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with remedial work, independent studies, and enrichment programs.
• Support instructional activities under the supervision of licensed staff.
• Contribute to autistic support services at Spring City Elementary School.

Instructional Assistant position available at Spring-Ford Area School District's Spring City Elementary School Are you looking to make a difference in the life of a child? Full Time 10-month position available at Spring-Ford's Spring City Elementary School. This position will be in Autistic Support.

• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
