Title: Instructional Assistant - Various Positions (All Grades)

Term: 2026 - 2027 School Year

Classification: Support Staff Employee

FTE: Part-Time (10 Month)

Key Responsibilities

• Experience supporting students with a variety of academic needs in a school setting. Specific experience working with students is highly preferred. Knowledge of academic support and positive behavior support techniques is desired.
• Experience implementing specially designed instruction.
• Must exhibit personal characteristics that promote student success in a supportive school climate. The candidate should have excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills, and a demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and teaching staff. Motivation to support students in a 1:1 technology-rich school environment is preferred.
• Experience integrating technology and assistive technology is also preferred.
• Professional Development training relating to supporting Special Education / IEP students, CPR/First Aid Training, Crisis response training preferred but not required.

Position Requirements

• Proof of an Associate Degree or at least two years of postsecondary study (completion of 48 credits).
• High School Diploma/GED Equivalent and the presentation of a Credential of Competency for Special Education Paraeducators in Pennsylvania.
• Selected candidates must be able to produce PA State Criminal Record Check, FBI Criminal History Record Investigation, PA DHS Child Abuse History Clearance, and PA Arrest/Conviction Report Certification Form within one year of issue at the time of hire.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate, carry or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities.
• Ability to independently ambulate in and around school buildings, locations associated with school events and field trips, and office areas.
• Ability to lift, position, transport and maneuver students as needed.

Compensation

TBD (2026-2027 Support Staff Rate). Limited paid leave benefits (sick, personal days). These positions do not include health insurance.
