Job summary

Spring-Ford Area School District is seeking a full-time Instructional Assistant for the 5/6th Grade Center to support students in Learning Support. The role focuses on remedial work, independent studies, and enrichment activities for students with varying needs.

Applicants must meet Highly Qualified requirements (associate degree or 48 credits, or equivalent), and provide Act 34/151/114 clearances and a TB test prior to starting. Growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Must meet Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: Associate's degree or 48 credits post-secondary or pass local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.
• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Act 34, Act 151, and Act 114 clearances and Health Record & TB Test dated appropriately are required before employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with remedial work, independent studies, specialized areas of need and enrichment programs.
• Support instruction at the Spring-Ford 5/6th Grade Center in Learning Support.
• Collaborate with teachers to implement instructional plans and monitor student progress.

Full Time 10-month position available at Spring-Ford the 5/6th Grade Center. This position will be in Learning Support.

• Experience working with students with special needs is preferred but not required.
• Must meet the Paraprofessional Highly Qualified Requirements: All individuals entering the paraprofessional field are required to be Highly Qualified. Individuals are required to hold an Associate's degree or higher, or have earned at least 48 credits post-secondary training or have passed a rigorous local assessment in reading, writing and mathematics.

Hourly Rate: $20.50/hour
