Job summary

Columbia Public School District is seeking an Instructional Aide for the Recovery Room at Rock Ridge Elementary in Columbia, MO. This full-time IA position supports teachers by reinforcing concepts, monitoring progress, and assisting with behavior interventions.

Candidates should meet Missouri substitute teaching certification with college credits or an associate degree; a Bachelor’s degree and Missouri teaching certificate are preferred.

Qualifications

• Missouri substitute teaching certificate or equivalent.
• 36+ college credit hours, or an Associate degree, or 20-hour DESE sub training.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree and Missouri teaching certificate.
• Experience in a school setting working with youth is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist staff in implementing lesson plans to meet learning needs.
• Supervise students in classrooms and non-classroom settings (lunch, buses).
• Support with behavior and progress monitoring under supervision.
• Contribute to planning instructional goals and intervention programs.
