Job summary

Foundation Academy of Mansfield, part of ACCEL Schools, seeks an Instructional Aide in Mansfield, Ohio. The role supports teachers, promotes positive student behavior, and helps supervise academics and extracurricular activities.

The ideal candidate assists with classroom activities, performs clerical tasks, and works to maintain a safe, positive school climate as directed by administrators and teachers.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or 2 years of college coursework required.
• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI background check.
• Ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Teacher with classroom activities and reinforce lessons.
• Support planning of activities and communication with parents.
• Support school events, staff meetings, assemblies and field trips.
• Perform clerical duties such as grading papers and making copies.
• Assist with classroom technology and keep areas tidy.
• Uphold the school’s philosophy and mission in all activities.
• Perform other duties including dismissal, morning duty, lunch duty and field trips.
