ACCEL Schools is hiring an Instructional Aide for South Columbus Preparatory Academy - German Village in Columbus, Ohio. The role supports teachers, assists with lessons, and helps manage student activities in PK-8 settings.

The position requires an Associate degree or equivalent coursework, MS Office proficiency, and a commitment to student safety and school climate. Strong communication and confidentiality are essential, with lifting requirements of 25–40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or two years of college coursework or the Paraprofessional’s Exam is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office is required.
• High quality written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Ability to meet educational standards and manage confidential information.
• Physical ability to lift 25-40 lbs and support students in activities.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individual students or groups.
• Helps plan classroom activities and supports student/parent relations.
• Assists with school events, meetings, and activities.
• Performs clerical duties and grades papers as assigned.
• Assists teachers with classroom technology and housekeeping duties.
• Maintains cleanliness in classroom and school areas.
• Complies with school philosophy, mission, and policies.
