SSS/Trio is seeking (1) Institutional Work Study student at 20 hours each per week for the Fall 2026 & Spring 2027 terms. Duties include: provide individualized problem-solving techniques, assisting with preparation for quizzes and exams, and reinforcing key mathematical concepts. The tutor also helps students develop strong study habits, critical thinking skills, and independent learning strategies to support their overall academic success.
Completion of College Algebra with a grade of “B” or better. Familiarity with effective study strategies and learning techniques. Ability to work one-on-one and in small group settings. Ability to encourage and motivate students with varying levels of confidence in math.
Applicants for this position with ASU-Beebe must have work authorization that does not now or in the future require sponsorship of a visa for employment authorization in the United States and with ASU-Beebe such as H1-B, F-1 (CPT/OPT), TN or any other status.
$11.00 per hour
This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment.
