Eastern Connecticut State University seeks an Institutional Research Specialist to analyze data and support long-range planning and program assessment. Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the Institutional Research Specialist position. Eastern is Connecticut’s Public Liberal Arts University and is located in Willimantic, Connecticut which is 1.5 hours from Boston and 2.5 hours from New York City. Eastern is one of four universities in the Connecticut State College and University System (CSCU).

Performs data analysis and facilitates the long-range planning and program assessment processes of the University. Provides analytic, statistical and report generating support including assessment/evaluation, data extraction, and analysis; creates, maintains and documents statistical and reporting software programs and develops web-based data collection and reporting mechanisms to support the institution's research and planning programs.
Bachelor's degree is required, with 4 years of experience in institutional research or relevant areas; professional experience withBanner, data management, and analysis; knowledge of STATA or other similar statistical packages (SPSS, R, SAS), and knowledge ofSQL or python. Preferred qualifications: Master’s degree. Knowledge of advanced statistics; ability to write and interpret statisticalpackage’s command syntax; intermediate level of Excel, SQL, or python; ability to build reports, and interactive charts/graphs usingtools such as Tableau (Power BI, or Google Analytics); ability to work independently and collaborate with others; meet deadlines in afast-paced office environment; excellent analytical skills and detail oriented; must be committed to data integrity, confidentiality andstudent success. These qualifications may be waived for individuals with appropriate alternate experience.
The Institutional Research Specialist is compensated at the Administrator IV salary level in accordance with the CSCU Human Resources Policies for the State University Organization of Administrative Faculty (SUOAF) union.
