Job summary

Eastern Connecticut State University is seeking an Institutional Research Specialist to perform data analysis and support long-range planning, program assessment, and reporting. The role develops and maintains statistical programs and web-based data collection systems to support institutional research.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience; knowledge of STATA, SPSS, R, SAS, and SQL/Python is preferred.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with 4 years of experience in institutional research or relevant areas.
Professional experience with data management, Banner, and analysis.
Knowledge of statistical packages such as STATA, SPSS, R, or SAS; familiarity with SQL or Python.

Responsibilities

Performs data analysis to support institutional research and planning efforts.
Creates, maintains, and documents statistical programs and reporting tools.
Designs web-based data collection and reporting mechanisms.
Leads quantitative and qualitative research and shares results with staff and faculty.
Prepares institutional studies, plans, and program assessments.
Provides data analysis to planning bodies such as strategic planning and enrollment management.
