Qualifications

  • Follows HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
  • Performs quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed
  • Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
  • Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims
  • Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs
  • Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
  • Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
  • Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
  • Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
  • Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
  • Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
  • Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
  • Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel
  • Work on-call schedule, where applicable
  • Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel
  • Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations
  • Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
  • Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
  • Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Duties
  • Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions
