Job summary

Priority Dispatch Corp. is seeking a licensed pharmacist to dispense prescriptions in accordance with HealthDirect standards.

You will perform QA steps, report incidents, manage third-party claims, and balance inventory to meet customer demand while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. You will also foster professional relationships with doctors and health professionals, ensure confidentiality, and participate in clinical functions to support consultants at customer

Qualifications

  • Valid state license and current registration to practice pharmacy.
  • Successful completion of pre-employment and/or random drug screening.
  • BS or PharmD degree in Pharmacy required.

Responsibilities

  • Dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect Standard of Practice.
  • Perform QA steps to ensure technically accurate prescriptions.
  • Report dispensing incidents per company guidelines.
  • Oversee third-party claims submission, resubmission, and collection.
  • Maintain inventory for maximum turns and customer needs.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with state/federal guidelines.
  • Provide excellent customer service and report losses per policy.
  • Supervise pharmacy department operations and maintain a professional environment.
  • Develop professional relationships with doctors and health professionals.
  • Interface with auditors and outside agencies as needed.
  • Participate in MTM, IMMR, and other clinical functions as required.

Job Duties:Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptionsPerforms all quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed. Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelinesFollows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of PharmacyOversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claimsManages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelinesEnsure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees alwaysInsure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss PreventionOversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environmentMaintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professionsMaintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practiceMaintains confidentiality regarding all patient informationFacilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.Work on-call schedule, where applicableInteracts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelinesInterface with various auditors and outside agencies, as neededResponsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programsPerform other duties as assignedJob Requirements:Possess and maintain a valid State License and current registration to practice PharmacyAbility to stand/walk throughout majority of shiftSuccessful completion of a pre-employment and/or random drug screening testJob Skills Required:Strong customer service and communication skillsStrong Organizational skillsBasic keyboarding skillsEducation:Minimum: BS or Pharm D degree in Pharmacy
