Job summary

KPH HealthCare Services, Inc. in Vermont seeks an experienced pharmacist to dispense prescriptions following HealthDirect standards and ensure accuracy through QA steps.

You will maintain patient confidentiality, coordinate with doctors, manage inventory, and support MTM and other clinical functions across customer locations, while upholding regulatory compliance. The role requires collaboration with facility management, adherence to state and federal regulations, and participation in on-call

Responsibilities

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions.
• Performs quality assurance steps to insure a technically accurate prescription is dispensed.
• Reports dispensing incidents in a timely manner, in accordance with company guidelines.
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims.
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
• Maintains prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always.
• Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention.

Job description

• Follows the HealthDirect Standard of Practice to dispense prescriptions

• Follows all State and Federal regulations governing the practice of Pharmacy
• Oversees the initial submission, resubmission, and collection of all third-party claims
• Manages and balances the pharmacy inventory to ensure maximum turns while remaining in-stock for customer needs.
• Ensures prescription files and other manual records are maintained in accordance with all state and federal guidelines
• Ensure outstanding customer service is exhibited by all employees always
• Insure all loss Prevention policies are followed by all employees and report deviations from said policies to Loss Prevention
• Oversees the maintenance of the pharmacy department to insure a clean and professional environment
• Maintains and develops professional relationships with doctors and others in the health service professions
• Maintains an awareness of developments in the Pharmacy and Health Care Services fields that relate to job responsibilities and integrates them into own practice
• Maintains confidentiality regarding all patient information
• Facilitates communication between professional staff and pharmacy personnel.
• Work on-call schedule, where applicable
• Interacts with Facility Manager in the appropriate completion of hiring practices, performance reviews and disciplinary actions of pharmacy department personnel.
• Perform MTM, IMMR, short stay reviews, delivery at discharge, and other clinical functions to support consultant pharmacists and maintain compliance at customer locations.
• Assists in meeting or exceeding budgetary sales guidelines and operating the pharmacy within said guidelines
• Interface with various auditors and outside agencies, as needed
• Responsible for completing all mandatory and regulatory training programs
