Job summary

Cerity Partners in Seattle is seeking an Associate - Institutional Consulting to support the operations group in daily administration and trading of client accounts. The role emphasizes proactive collaboration, data integrity, and strong reconciliations.

You will work with OMS and custodial platforms, draft trade and cash transfer directives, and assist with manager funding. A bachelor’s degree and 1–3 years in investment operations are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required; 1-3 years in investment operations or trading group preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat and Smartsheet.
• Experience with Bloomberg AIM and Compliance modules is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Data integrity functions (beginning of day): update security prices, confirm start-of-day positions, reconcile assets across OMS and custodians, run reconcilations and cash reconciliation, investigate breaks.
• Draft/review trade directives and cash transfer directives for discretionary and non-discretionary accounts; process manager subscriptions and funding documents.
• Collaborate with technology platforms for discretionary accounts; provide input on process improvements and integration of new systems.
• Trade reconciliation: send end-of-day files to custodians, submit trade allocations, confirm settlements on settlement date.
• Non-discretionary support: review consultant-generated trade packets for accuracy; provide funding and operational support.
• Operational Due Diligence (ODD) reviews: write initial assessments, gather documentation, follow up with managers, monitor process improvements.
