Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. focuses on evidence-based rehabilitation and operates GEO Secured Services nationwide.

This position supports on-site food service operations, including preparation of meats, fish, gravies, cereals, soups and vegetables, with emphasis on safety and sanitation. Ideal candidates will have at least a high school diploma and 2+ years of quantity food production experience in institutional settings, plus training in food service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• College credits or relevant technical training in food service preparation and cooking preferred.
• Minimum two years prior experience in quantity food production in commercial, military, or institutional settings.
• Must be able to communicate minimum production/service requirements to all personnel.
• Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
• Must be a United States citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to the menu plan.
• Manage inventory (place and receive orders for food and supplies).
• Ensure food quality and schedule preparations.
• Guide and train employees.
• Maintain high standards of sanitation and safety.
• Train inmate/detainee food service workers and inspect their work.
