Job summary

UMass Boston is seeking an Assessment Analyst to conduct research on learning assessment, institutional effectiveness, and policy evaluation to improve learning outcomes. The role supports planning and implementation of assessment activities aligned with accreditation standards and engages with campus units to identify processes requiring evaluation.

Qualifications

• Develop learning outcomes and identify appropriate outcome measures.
• Analyze complex issues to facilitate decision-making and action steps for improvement.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
• Collect, analyze, and report quantitative and qualitative data.
• Work independently with sound judgment and discretion.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the university system.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director with developing and operating assessment programs, including data gathering, analysis and feedback integration.
• Support faculty and administrators in developing assessment plans and using data for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate assessment plans with Institutional Research to provide data and analytical support.
• Collaborate with campus constituencies to foster an inclusive culture of assessment.
• Support alignment of AQUAD and Student Success initiatives with assessment activities.
• Stay current with best practices via memberships, journals, and meetings regionally and nationally.
• Curate resource links for assessment and evaluation practices and campus reports.
