The Institutional Account Manager (IAM) is responsible for selling our products within a specified region or major geographical area. Key responsibilities include:

  1. Identifying business relationship opportunities with key decision makers at hospitals and developing strategic plans to pursue these opportunities.
  2. Understanding patient admission processes within large hospitals and systems.
  3. Collaborating with National Account Managers to implement strategies with hospitals and hospital systems.
  4. Selling to Director and Chief level contacts within large hospitals and systems.
  5. Delivering effective sales presentations to healthcare professionals (HCPs).
  6. Applying sales skills and resource allocation to achieve results.
  7. Building and leveraging customer relationships to drive outcomes.
  8. Utilizing business analytics and customer data to inform strategies.
  9. Creating and managing account and territory plans.
  10. Using data to target high-value accounts and prescribers.
  11. Maintaining expertise across our product portfolio, therapeutic areas, and managed care.
  12. Analyzing data to manage territory effectively and meet or exceed sales targets.
  13. Staying informed on market and industry trends, including competitor products.
  14. Applying clinical and disease state knowledge to impact patient care.
  15. Completing administrative tasks promptly and attending training and conferences as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2 years of hospital or specialty pharmaceutical experience preferred.
  • Residency in or near the assigned geography.
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record; ability to drive a company vehicle.
  • Willingness to travel overnight as needed.
  • Strong business acumen, teamwork, collaboration, accountability, tenacity, and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 pounds, with accommodations if necessary.

The starting salary range for this role is $130,000 to $160,000, influenced by experience and location. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, 401(k), paid time off, tuition reimbursement, parental leave, disability insurance, life insurance, holidays, employee assistance, commuter benefits, recognition awards, voluntary benefits, employee discounts, and referral bonuses.
