Industry: Residential HVAC / Thermostats / Controls
Position Summary
Braeburn is looking for a highly hands-on Installer Marketing Manager to build direct relationships with HVAC contractors, distributor branches, trade schools, and industry influencers across the United States.
This is not a traditional corporate marketing role. The position is highly field-oriented and focused on creating contractor pull-through, increasing Braeburn product awareness, driving repeat purchases, and making Braeburn easier for technicians and installers to understand, specify, and buy.
The ideal candidate understands the HVAC contractor channel, enjoys being in the field, and can turn installer feedback into practical programs, training tools, promotions, and product improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Build direct relationships with HVAC contractors and technicians across key U.S. markets.
- Spend significant time in the field conducting:
- Contractor ride-alongs
- Contractor events
- Training sessions
- Develop strong relationships with distributor branch managers and counter personnel to increase Braeburn visibility and recommendations.
- Create and execute contractor SPIFs, incentives, loyalty programs, referral programs, and certification initiatives.
- Identify and develop high-potential contractors in each territory into strong Braeburn advocates.
- Work closely with Regional Sales Managers and distributor partners to create local contractor pull-through.
- Develop simple field tools that make Braeburn products easier to sell and install, including:
- Quick-reference guides
- Product comparison tools
- Contractor training kits
- Gather structured Voice of Installer feedback and share insights with Product Management, Technical Support, Sales, and Marketing.
- Help identify product gaps, installation challenges, competitive issues, and unmet contractor needs.
- Build relationships with HVAC trade schools, technical colleges, instructors, and students to introduce Braeburn products to future HVAC technicians.
- Develop trade-school programs, demonstration kits, curriculum support, and instructor relationships.
- Coordinate closely with Sales, Product Management, Technical Support, Customer Support, and distributor partners.
- Measure the effectiveness of installer programs using metrics such as contractor engagement, repeat purchases, product adoption, distributor activity, and campaign ROI.
- Support new-product launches through installer trials, training, demonstrations, and field feedback.
- Represent Braeburn at selected HVAC trade shows, distributor events, contractor meetings, and industry events.
Qualifications
- Strong experience in the residential HVAC industry, preferably working with contractors, distributors, thermostats, controls, equipment, or related products.
- Strong understanding of the HVAC distribution and contractor channel.
- Comfortable working directly with HVAC technicians, contractors, distributor branches, and counter personnel.
- Proven ability to build relationships in the field rather than relying primarily on traditional marketing campaigns.
- Experience developing contractor programs, promotions, training, loyalty programs, or channel marketing initiatives strongly preferred.
- Ability to explain technical products in a very simple, practical way.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Highly self-directed and comfortable traveling extensively.
- Ability to work across Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Technical Support teams.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, but strong HVAC industry experience is more important.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means:
Key measures can include contractor engagement, active contractor accounts, repeat purchase rates, distributor branch participation, training activity, installer adoption, and measurable revenue influenced by contractor pull-through.
Ideal Background
Candidates may come from organizations selling products through the HVAC contractor channel, including thermostats, HVAC equipment, tools, controls, IAQ products, accessories, or distributor/manufacturer organizations.
This should be a field-first role, not a desk-based digital marketing position. The strongest candidate will understand how contractors actually select products and will be comfortable spending considerable time with installers, distributors, and trade schools.
