Himmel’s Architectural Door and Hardware in Dallas, TX is seeking a Commercial Door/Hardware Installer to install and repair doors and hardware on commercial sites. This full-time role runs Monday through Friday, 6am to 3:30pm, with competitive compensation and benefits.

You will measure, mark, and install with hand and power tools, ensure accuracy with levels and framing squares, and coordinate with the project manager to complete work on time and to code standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to understand directions and read blueprints.
• Thorough understanding of carpentry principles and methods.
• Experience as a door installer or trim carpenter.
• Works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Measures, marks, and arranges materials to layout from blueprints or supervisor instructions.
• Uses hand and power tools to securely install doors.
• Checks alignment using levels or framing squares; corrects problems as needed.
• Adheres to local building and safety codes and guidelines.
• Tracks progress through detailed end of day reporting.
• Coordinates with project manager and onsite customer contact(s) to ensure project completion and satisfaction.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
