Job summary

QPS Employment Group has an installer opportunity in Monroe, WI. This is a first-shift role with the potential for hire. Wage is $18.00 per hour, with hours from 4:30am to 3:00pm.

The installer will read blueprints, lay out and weld parts, operate MIG equipment, and fabricate non-engineered components. Requires a welding certificate or related experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs on various body positions.

Qualifications

• Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Experience or certification in welding/fabrication.
• Lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied positions.
• Operate safety equipment in the work area.
• Understand measurements and unit conversions.

Responsibilities

• Read and comprehend blueprints.
• Plan layout, select equipment and weld from blueprints (GMAW/MIG).
• Lay out, position, align and fit components.
• Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts for welding.
• Set up equipment and weld parts using MIG welding.
• Fabricate and design non-engineered parts.

Position Title: Installer Wage: $18.00 per hour Shift: 1st Hours: 4:30am - 3:00pm

QPS Employment Group has a great Installer opportunity at a company in Monroe, WI. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Installer Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Reads and comprehends blueprints
• Selects equipment and plans layout, assembly, and welding from blueprints
• Lays out, positions, aligns, and fits components together
• Bolts, clamps, and tack-welds part to secure in position for welding
• Sets up equipment and welds parts, GMAW MIG
• Fabricate and design non-engineered parts

Installer Requirements:

• One year certificate from college or technical school in welding/fabrication or relevant experience
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. without assistance
• Ability to work from various squatting, kneeling, or bending positions
• Ability to work arms above the head and ability to work from crawling or lying positions
• Ability to read, understand, and carry out instructions as detailed in blueprints
• Ability to understand and operate all safety equipment in the area
• Proficient in adding, subtracting, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
• Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense
• Proficient in the computation of rate, ratio, and percent and its application in practical situations
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and verbally communicate simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in English
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and layouts and other written or verbal instructions presented in English
