Job summary

NextGen Security, LLC in Dallas is seeking an electronic security installation technician to join our growing team. This entry-level role trains locally in the Dallas area before traveling to customer sites nationwide.

You will install and maintain access control systems, IDS, and IP-based video management systems, applying networking and IT knowledge with strong communication and safety practices. An associate’s or bachelor’s degree in electronics or related field is preferred, and experience

• 1-2 years of installation experience in security industry or technical/electrical background
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in electronics or related field
• Experience with Word, Excel, and Outlook

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain enterprise-level access control systems
• Install and maintain intrusion detection systems (IDS), fiber and copper based
• Install and maintain IP-based video management systems (VMS)
• Apply networking and IT knowledge to security installations
• Demonstrate superior problem solving and communication skills
• Familiarize with local electronic security codes and industry standards
• Understand and work safely in a chemical plant environment

We are in search of an electronic security installation technician to join our fast growing and dynamic team. This position will train locally to the Dallas region before starting to extensively travel to customer sites around the country.

What you’ll be doing

Installing And Maintaining

• Enterprise-level access control systems.


• Intrusion detection systems (IDS), both fiber and copper based.


• Enterprise-level video management systems (IP-based).


• Networking and IT knowledge.


• Superior problem solving and communication skills.


• Familiarization with local electronic security codes and industry standards.


• Understanding and ability to work safely in a chemical plant environment.

Job Experience/Education

• Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in electronics or related field


• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
