THIS POSITION IS OPEN TO APPLICANTS IN THE FOLLOWING STATES:

Responsibilities
  1. Work under limited supervision, make decisions based on expertise, knowledge, and coordination with management. Follow defined procedures but deviate if necessary. Train and guide less experienced Start-Up Technicians.
  2. Perform start-up and functionality checks on HVAC, plumbing, and electrical components. Ensure equipment operates according to specifications and code. Work with subcontractors or vendors for proper operation.
  3. Interpret drawings, identify errors/omissions, and advise supervisors.
  4. Install, connect, or adjust thermostats, sensors, controllers, and mechanical parts as per plans.
  5. Disassemble and reassemble equipment for troubleshooting and maintenance. Ensure equipment is level and aligned.
  6. Explain work performed to customers, including startup and commissioning of systems.
  7. Install controls to ensure proper operation of equipment and systems.
  8. Diagnose system performance issues through observation and testing.
  9. Complete documentation accurately and timely for invoicing and EPA compliance.
  10. Read and understand plans and blueprints related to installation of cabling and communication systems.
  11. Analyze plans, specifications, and regulations.
  12. Manage truck inventory and adhere to maintenance guidelines.
  13. Manage multiple priorities and lead projects with minimal guidance.
Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of related experience, or a technical degree with less experience.

Preferred: Technical Degree

Additional requirements include EPA 608 Certification, valid driver’s license, physical ability to climb ladders and lift objects, strong communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and out-of-town.
