Description

As an Installation Technician, you'll transform businesses by installing advanced low-voltage commercial audio, video, and lighting systems. Working on local and nationwide projects, you'll be responsible for bringing designs to life with precision and expertise. From LED/LCD video walls and touch panels to speakers, racks, patch bays, and mixing consoles, you'll ensure each system is installed, configured, and optimized to deliver exceptional performance. Your technical skills and attention to detail will create seamless, reliable installations that elevate experiences and exceed client expectations.

What You'll Do
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot audio, video, and lighting systems, including LED/LCD video walls, touch panels, and speakers.
  • Pull and terminate cables and connectors (XLR, RJ45, TRS, BNC, F-CONN), harness racks, patch bays, and mixing consoles.
  • Work collaboratively on job sites, adhering to safety protocols and company standards.
  • Travel extensively (50-75%) to installation locations, including overnight trips.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to installations and projects.
  • Participate in training to obtain certifications (e.g., DOT, OSHA 10) and further develop skills.
What We're Looking For
Skills and Experience
  • High integrity, self-motivation, and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills and a meticulous approach to installations.
  • Experience in AV, telecommunications, construction, or a related field.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools.
  • Ability to solder and crimp connectors.
Requirements
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
  • Comfortable working in a construction environment (wearing PPE, handling dusty or unclean workspaces, and managing lack of climate control).
  • Current OSHA 10 certification is a plus.

Physical Requirements

The role requires lifting objects up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders up to 20 feet, working in extreme weather conditions, dusty environments, confined spaces, and on uneven surfaces. Safety and effective communication are paramount. The employee must be able to stand, walk, reach, climb, and perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Long hours, night shifts, weekend work, holiday commitments, and extensive travel are expected.
