Job summary

Relevate One, a family-owned technology integration company based in Kansas City, Missouri, seeks an experienced Low-Voltage Systems Technician to join our installation and engineering team. You’ll install, configure, test, and support access control, video surveillance, networking, and other low-voltage systems while traveling to customer sites across Missouri and Kansas.

Relevate One is a family-owned technology integration company based in Kansas City, Missouri. In fact, we design, install, and support access control, video surveillance, networking, and other low-voltage technology systems for customers throughout Missouri and Kansas.

We’re seeking an experienced, BICSI-certified Low-Voltage Systems Technician to join our installation and engineering team. Specifically, this customer-facing role installs, configures, tests, and supports access control systems, video surveillance cameras, networking equipment, and related low-voltage technologies. The ideal candidate has at least two years of low-voltage field experience and is currently BICSI certified or nearing certification. In addition, access control installation experience is strongly preferred. Because of this, we provide training on the specific manufacturers, platforms, networking technologies, and emerging AI solutions used in our projects.

What you’ll do

• First, install, terminate, test, label, and troubleshoot low-voltage cabling, and connect networking devices, switches, and wireless equipment
• Read and follow project plans, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation
• Configure and test installed devices, and troubleshoot cabling, connectivity, power, and equipment issues
• Maintain accurate installation records, labeling, photos, and project documentation
• Finally, travel to customer locations throughout Missouri and Kansas as required

What you’ll need

• To begin, BICSI certification, or significant progress toward one
• At least 2 years of professional experience in low-voltage, structured cabling, security, or technology integration
• Working knowledge of low-voltage cabling installation, termination, testing, and troubleshooting
• Strong communication and customer-service skills
• Last, a valid driver’s license and ability to travel throughout Missouri and Kansas, including occasional 2-4 day overnight assignments

Preferred

• Access control and/or video surveillance installation experience
• In addition, experience with network cabling, switches, or wireless devices
• Familiarity with Verkada, Axis Communications, Gallagher, Brivo, or comparable platforms
• Also, experience with electric locking hardware, door position switches, REX devices, or access control panels
• Copper or fiber cabling testing/certification experience

Compensation and benefits

• $25.00–$45.00/hour, based on experience and certifications
