Job description

We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. As a Low Voltage Technician, you will be responsible for installing low voltage systems such as intrusion systems, CCTV, access control, data and physical networks. This is a hands‑on role that requires strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Duties
  • Follow direction from Lead Technician as required to complete projects
  • Install low voltage systems according to blueprints and/or work orders up to and including but not limited to: Cabling (Category + Fiber)
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all installations
Requirements
  • Following safety protocols as provided during training and by your lead technician
  • Strong knowledge of hand tools and their proper usage.
  • CAT6 termination and testing
  • Wiring up and installing devices such as control panels, cameras, electronic locks and network hardware. Minimal experience required here, we are willing to train a motivated candidate
  • Proficient in creating cabling pathways and pulling cable. EMT conduit experience is preferred but not required. Must be willing learn EMT - we will gladly train.
  • Great pride in your work including cable management, mounting devices level and general attention to detail. Strong desire to “just do it once”.
  • Comfortable working up to 40 foot scissor lift height. We occasionally use boom lifts but most work is done on ladders or scissors. Heavy equipment training is included with this role
  • Familiarity with various cabling types such as Category, Fiber and Security Cabling
  • Mechanical knowledge for equipment installation and maintenance
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • 3 years minimum experience required. 5+ years experience preferred.

Though listed as an 8 hour day, five days a week, this position will regularly offer 4x10's if preferred by employee but not required. We are respectful of your personal / home time and will cater to your preferred schedule as much as our work flow allows.

Important note on tools

Though listed as “tools provided”, you are expected to provide your own basic hand tools such as wire strippers and a drill. We offer electronic test equipment, multimeter, ladders, PPE, cable certifiers, laptop, STS drills, conduit tools and all replenishable items such as drill bits, electrical tape and velcro.
