Job summary

Agfa HealthCare is seeking an Installation Specialist to install the full line of DR solutions at customer sites. You will work with the Project Manager to plan, execute, and finalize installations on strict deadlines and within budget.

The role requires 5+ years in DR deployment, expert knowledge of DR installation, x-ray room operations, and strong IT skills across UNIX/Windows, Oracle/SQL, and secure remote connectivity. Travel up to 80% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in technology or related field with healthcare IT experience.
• MCSE, Network+, or CIIP certifications are a plus.
• 5+ years of DR deployment and service experience; experience with electronic and electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Installs software, hardware and executes performance analysis as needed for DR and imaging.
• Documents DR/IMAGING service activities daily and maintains project issues lists.
• Provides timely feedback on technology performance, reliability, serviceability and design issues to global support and R&D.
• Training: update knowledge and receive product training from R&D.

• Identifies continuous improvement opportunities.

• Training: Update underlying technology knowledge and receive product training from R&D.

• Expert knowledge of DR installation and x-ray room experiences networking and operating systems (UNIX and Windows), databases (Oracle and SQL), remote connectivity, security and digital medical image processing.
• Previous DR installation and x-ray room experiences knowledge of Agfa software or similar industry and a demonstrated capability to learn cutting edge new technologies.
• Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Lotus Notes and Internet based knowledge management systems.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills.
• Proven organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrated experience adapting to change and managing priorities.
• Strong customer service skills in interacting with both internal and external customers.
• Previous experience working in a global environment (networking and building relationships with individuals in remote locations and virtual teams).
• Excellent understanding of the technical services business, product launch process and healthcare environment.
• Must be eligible to travel overnight both within the US and Canada.
• Experience with and understanding of DR support and x-ray room experience
• Must be eligible to apply for customer initiated security clearances such as the US National Agency Check (NAC).
• Ability to travel up to 80%, depending upon geographic location and business needs.
