United Imaging is seeking an Application Specialist – Digital Radiography Imaging to deliver on-site education, demonstrations, and updates for DR systems. You will train technologists, support clinical workflows, and collaborate with customers to optimize imaging processes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site applications support to process and resolve customer complaints and offer remote support as needed.
  • Support R&D/CRM processes by capturing customer needs and issues and sharing troubleshooting know-how.
  • Develop on-site training courses and coach new employees at customer locations or at United Imaging HQ in Houston.
  • Assist sales with product demonstrations and prepare clinical cases for clinicians.

Job Summary

The Application Specialist – Digital Radiography Imaging is responsible for providing on‑site application education for Digital Radiography (DR). This includes product demonstrations, system updates, and upgrades for standard systems and applications. The ideal candidate will demonstrate authenticity and integrity, essential for building meaningful and lasting relationships with our customers.

Compensation decisions are based upon the candidate level of skill, qualifications, geographical location and experience, and it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the posted pay range. Additionally, the position may also be eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation (such as cash bonus(es).

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide customer training, consultancy and support in individual workflow improvements, including having the ability to deliver clinical education, adjustment of system parameters and implementation of new methods and clinical workflows to expand customer portfolio.
  • Provide on‑site applications support to process and resolve customer complaints quickly; provide remote support when not on‑site.
  • Provide on‑site application education for Digital Radiography (DR), including demonstration, updates, and upgrades for standard systems and applications.
  • Support the R&D/CRM process, including customer need and issues, as well as the provision of troubleshooting know‑how and experience.
  • Assist in the development of applications training courses to be delivered on‑site at customer locations or at the United Imaging Headquarters and Training Center in Houston and coaching new employees.
  • Provide as need sales team support for product demonstrations, preparation of clinical cases and presenting images to clinicians/physicians.

Note: Other duties as assigned.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or above in Digital Radiography and a minimum of 5 years’ technical/clinical industry experience.
  • ARRT or equivalent specific DR modality certification.
  • Comfortable in a clinical/patient environment.
  • Proficient use of computer applications, such as Windows Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel and navigating other computer and web‑based tools
  • Ability to learn specialized industry‑specific software and provide digital education and DR training solutions
  • Required travel and overnight stays and travel +75% within the US.
  • IR experience a plus.
Magnetic Environment Exposure

This position requires working in an environment where strong magnetic fields may be present. Employees may be exposed to powerful magnets, electromagnetic equipment, or other devices that generate magnetic fields.

Risk To Ferrous Metals In The Body

Due to the nature of the magnetic environment, employees must not wear or carry ferrous metals on their person while in the designated work area. This includes, but is not limited to, metal objects such as steel, iron, and other ferrous materials. Additionally, employees with implants, medical devices, or foreign objects containing ferrous metals within their body (e.g., certain surgical implants, pacemakers, or metal pins) may be at risk and must disclose any such conditions to their supervisor prior to starting work.

Radiation Safety

DR Applications specialists must adhere to strict safety protocols to protect themselves from radiation exposure.

Environment: DR Applications specialists can work in hospitals, clinics, and imaging centers, training technologists how to use United Imaging equipment for procedures and imaging diagnosis.
