Job summary

Lindahl Reed Inc. is seeking an Installation Resource Efficiency Manager III to support energy programs for AMC Headquarters, MSCs, and 23 OIB facilities in New Boston, TX.

The role focuses on energy planning, audits, and project management across ESPC, ERCIP, UESC, and renewables to reduce demand and improve efficiency. The REM III will analyze utility data, develop IEWPs, coordinate with teams, and help implement energy resilience strategies while ensuring compliance and security clearance

Qualifications

  • Four-year engineering degree (mechanical or electrical) with PE preferred and 9+ years energy management.
  • Environmental Science or related degree with 12+ years energy management.
  • Two-year technical degree with 15+ years energy management.
  • No degree with 18+ years energy management.
  • Experience with onsite energy generation, energy storage, and microgrid projects; knowledge of financing vehicles.
  • Experience supporting development and implementation of energy projects.
  • Knowledge of DoW energy management requirements is a plus.
  • Current CEM or ability to obtain CEM within 6 months.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.

Description/Job Summary

Lindahl Reed is seeking energy professionals to provide Resource Efficiency Manager (REM) services to the Army Materiel Command Headquarters, its Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) and 23 Organic Industrial Base (OIB) facilities. The candidate will work with AMC to achieve robust energy management programs, initiatives, and projects to meet energy laws, regulations, policies, directives, and goals. Energy support services include assistance with Energy Savings Performance Contract (ESPC) projects, Energy Resilience and Conservation Investment Program (ERCIP) projects, Utility Energy Services Contract (UESC) projects, Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) projects, Power Purchase Agreements (PPA), power generation projects and other energy projects. The candidate will support demand reduction for energy and water through education, conservation, and efficiency initiatives and projects that optimize the use of utility resources, including natural gas, electricity, geothermal, water, wastewater, and other energy/utilities. The candidate will also assist with energy and water planning, including development of Installation Energy and Water Plans (IEWPs). In support of these requirements, the candidate will provide project management, engineering, technical knowledge, and analysis of energy management applications, databases, and systems, as well as high‑level functional support for evaluation and implementation advice on energy efficiency, renewable energy, and energy resilience projects.

  • Support energy project implementation through ESPC, UESC, and ERCIP projects, and other energy funded projects
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

Candidates must possess one of the following combinations of education and experience:

  • A four‑year engineering degree (preferably in mechanical or electrical engineering) and/or a registered Professional Engineer registration with a minimum of 9 years of experience in energy management.
  • An Environmental Science, business or related degree with a minimum of 12 years of experience in energy management.
  • A two‑year technical degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in energy management.
  • No degree with a minimum of 18 years of experience in energy management.
  • Background in energy management and experience with onsite energy generation, energy storage, and microgrid projects as well as alternative financing contract vehicles.
  • Experience supporting the development and implementation of energy projects.
  • Knowledge of Department of War energy management requirements a plus.
  • Current Certified Energy Manager (CEM) or ability to obtain CEM certification within 6 months.
  • Excellent oral/written communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
  • Critical thinking and decision‑making skills coupled with strong analysis and problem‑solving skills
  • Self‑starter, driven and able to work with limited direction under target timelines
  • Collaborative personality enjoys and able to work effectively, independently and in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Working knowledge of standard office computer software (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Ability to pass a government‑administered background investigation in order to be granted a Common Access Card and access to government IT systems.
  • Ability to obtain a secret level clearance.
